No Visit to the West Country is complete without a trip to the Village. Experience the sights & sounds of the English Countryside in immaculate detail. Beautiful thatched villages along with Tudor and Georgian buildings are but a small part of the offering.

Close at hand to the model village are the prehistoric caves at Kent's Caverns. The Cavern has still many secrets to reveal about the History of Ancient Britons. Unlike many other important sites in Britain, Kents Cavern has a history of uninterrupted occupation starting 700,000 years ago right through to today. There are very few sites in the world that fit into the same category.

The new National Aquarium is now open at Plymouth

The National Marine Aquarium is the CHARITY dedicated to raising awareness of the oceans, the challenges they face and the ways in which we can all help ensure they have a sustainable future.

Located in Plymouth, the National Marine Aquarium is the result of many years of hard work and fund-raising to establish a leading aquarium in the UK.

The National Marine Aquarium was the first aquarium in the United Kingdom to be set up solely for the purpose of education, conservation and research. It remains Britain's foremost aquarium and in the four years it has been open it has attracted over one and half million visitors through its door and thousands of enquiries by letter, telephone, fax and email.

The National Marine Aquarium is now firmly established as a source of reliable and accurate information and is a regular adviser to many newspaper, magazine, radio and television projects - the BBC's 'Blue Planet' Series is perhaps the best known.

We thoroughly enjoy visiting the National Aquarium and would not hesitate in recommending it as a great day trip.
